The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) on Friday requested Chinese traders to work jointly with their Nepali counterparts to promote investment in agro production, manufacturing, tourism and banking. During a meeting with a visiting delegation from China, the private sector said it desired to enhance business ties particularly with Xian, a city in China’s Shaanxi province. The 21-member Chinese delegation including traders and government official from the Shaanxi Provincial Commerce Department is presently in Nepal. They had come to participate in the recently concluded 15th Nepal China-Tibet Economic and Trade Fair.
Speaking at an interaction, NCC President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said the chamber had been in continuous contact with traders in Shaanxi for the last few years. Yao Chaoying, general director of the Shaanxi Provincial Commerce Department, said they were keen to work jointly for bilateral trade and investment. He also invited Nepali traders to the trade fair to be held in Xian.
